CWRU Motorsports

Working on CWRU Motorsports, Case Western’s Baja SAE design team, has taught me more about managing a team and working on large complex engineering problems than almost any other experience I have had. Because of this, I feel that it deserves to be under the work history category of this website. From an engineering standpoint, I developed a carbon fiber layup process for the team, which I then used and iterated on through two years of design and manufacturing work. From an administrative standpoint, I was a member of the executive board for two years where, in my role as Composites Lead, I facilitated knowledge transfer, managed chemical safety for our team’s workspace, and spearheaded the business presentation portion of the competition. If you would like to see some of my business presentation work, please watch this video of one of the team’s business finals presentations.

I have recently taken a step back from my role on the Execuative Board but remain active in an advisory capacity: assisting with materials selection, providing business presentation feedback, and providing insights on composite manufacturing.
