Kaiser Aluminum (Trentwood)

At Kaiser I was placed in the sheet and coil department where aluminum coil would be cold rolled to its final gauge, heat treated, stretched, inspected, and cut to the proper length and form factor. While with this team I led a project to characterize the top and bottom of sheet lots in order to reduce unnecessary scrap. I also learned Python, visual basic application, and Minitab to aggregate and perform statistical analysis on large data sets. This statistical analysis was then used in combination with root cause analysis to correlate recurring defects with specific manufacturing process variables.
